Our employees at the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin, celebrations were held from 6 to 8 October 2025. Dr. Piotr Stec, professor at the University of Opole, participated in the celebrations as an expert from the Research, Studies, and Legislation Center of the National Council of Legal Advisers. dr hab. Ewa Kozerska, prof. UO as a representative of the Institute and Faculty authorities, Dr. hab. Alicja Jagelska-Burduk, prof. UO as dean of the OIRP in Bydgoszcz. The following events took place as part of the celebrations:

Areopagus on the constitution: is change necessary (with guest speakers: Prof. Andrzej Zoll, Prof. Sławomira Wronkowska, Prof. Marek Safjan, Dr. Hanna Suchocka, Prof. Jerzy Stępień, and Dr. Hanna Machińska);

40th anniversary gala of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin;

Round Table on Legal Education: In Search of a Complementary Model of Legal Education
The panel discussions were attended by deans of law faculties, representatives of the legal profession, academic teaching experts, and legal practitioners. The discussions focused on developing a new model of legal education that takes into account the rapidly changing socio-economic and technological conditions of the 21^(st) century. Drawing on the experiences of various legal communities, including academics and practitioners such as legal advisors, attorneys, notaries, prosecutors, judges and bailiffs, it was recognised that, in an era of expanding artificial intelligence use, traditional academic teaching based on humanistic and cultural education, as well as the transfer of general and universal knowledge, can significantly support the practical application of new technologies.
