Job title: Student(Doctoral Student)/Doctoral Fellow in the project “Pro-quality evaluation of legal sciences” funded by the MEiN program “Science for society”.

Requirements:

  • A student graduate of at least the fourth year of a single master’s degree in law or a student/graduate of a second degree in a related field or a doctoral student/graduate with a degree in law;
  • ability to work in a team;
  • Communication skills and punctuality;
  • Operation of MS Office package in particular EXCEL spreadsheet, knowledge of the basics of descriptive statistics is welcome.
  • Good knowledge of English, knowledge of German welcome.
  • Ability to use SCOPUS, Web of Science databases and SciVal and InCites tools welcome

Job Description:

  • queries on the jurisprudence of common courts, literature and administrative practice in the field of research evaluation systems in the legal sciences;
  • Collection of biblio- and scientometric data;
  • Data entry into the project database;
  • Provide organizational support to the Polish project team in terms of maintaining day-to-day correspondence and project calendar and ensuring communication among team members;
  • Cooperation in the organization of meetings of the Polish project team;

Type of competition: “Pro-quality evaluation of legal sciences” project implemented within the framework of the MEiN Science for Society program.

Terms of employment:

The awardee will receive remuneration under a contract of mandate funded by the MEiN “Science for Society” project for 12 months, starting March 1, 2022.

In case of a mutual declaration of intent, the contract can be extended until the end of the project.

The salary in the project is PLN 1,200 gross*.

The candidate(s) should submit the following documents:

1) an application addressed to Ph.D. Marek Masnyk, J.M. Rector of the University of Opole for a scholarship at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the University of Opole within the framework of the project “Pro-quality evaluation of legal sciences”.

2) a list of grades obtained in the course of uniform master’s studies;

3) curriculum vitae including the course of previous education;

4) a letter of motivation including a brief description of scientific interests and achievements and justification of the intention to undertake scientific work within the framework of the research project;

5) certificates or other documents proving the degree of knowledge of foreign languages, if the candidate has them;

6) a letter of recommendation (if the candidate has one);

7) the following statement: “I declare that, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (RODO), I consent to the processing of my personal data by the University of Opole, based in Opole, for the purposes necessary for the recruitment process for the position of student scholarship holder in the project “Pro-quality evaluation of legal sciences” implemented under the MEiN program “Science for Society.”

Brief description of the project: the project “Pro-quality evaluation of legal sciences” is funded by the “Science for Society” program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Its purpose is to analyze publication practices and principles of evaluation of legal sciences in order to develop a new model of evaluation of legal sciences.
