From 29 September to 1 October 2025, Barcelona will host the UNESCO MONDIACULT 2025 World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development. This event is the most important global forum where representatives of UNESCO member states determine strategic action plans for culture for the coming years. At the end of the conference, the Mondiacult 2025 Barcelona Outcome Document was adopted, emphasising the importance of collaborating with academic institutions, research centres, and networks to inform cultural policy and data collection.
During the conference, the first report – a key document outlining cultural policy priorities – was officially presented.
The Polish delegation to the event included Prof. Alicja Jagielska-Burduk, PhD, head of the research team at the UNESCO Chair on Cultural Property Law.
