dr hab. Dariusz Walencik, prof. UO elected as a member of the Disciplinary Committee at the General Council for Science and Higher Education

The General Council for Science and Higher Education, at its plenary meeting on 28 November 2024. , adopted a resolution on the election of members of the Disciplinary Commission for the term 2025-2028, including an employee of the Institute of Legal Sciences at the University of Opole, dr hab. Dariusz Walencik, prof. UO .

The Disciplinary Committee at the General Council for Science and Higher Education adjudicates on cases of academic teachers subject to disciplinary liability for conduct detrimental to the duties of an academic teacher or the dignity of the teaching profession, such as committing plagiarism, failing to comply with official instructions from superiors, obstructing investigations, violating financial discipline, accepting financial benefits or behaving improperly towards students and other academic teachers.

The committee has 62 members. It consists of: 51 academic teachers, 8 students and 3 doctoral students, whose candidatures could be submitted by all universities in Poland
